MY STORY

Before starting Making Music with Mrs. Healey, I served as Music Director at both Island Pacific Academy in Hawaii and Detroit Premier Academy in Michigan. Over the years, I’ve built thriving orchestra programs, led stage bands and theater productions, taught private lessons and ukulele enrichment, and helped students of all backgrounds discover the joy of music.

Let’s make music together!

In my home studio, I offer personalized one-on-one lessons in violin, viola, cello, bass, and ukulele, tailored to each student's goals and interests. Whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time or preparing for an audition, I’ll meet you where you are and help you reach your full potential.

During my time at Island Pacific Academy on Oahu, Hawaii, I gained invaluable lessons that shaped both my teaching style and personal outlook. Teaching in Hawaii may sound like a dream, but it demands discipline, adaptability, and a deep respect for time, students, parents, and cultural heritage. The vibrant yet challenging environment taught me the importance of fostering meaningful connections and nurturing a respectful, supportive classroom where every student can thrive.
